David - worship on chaos
Writing this is a bit weird.
As I lay in bed an shut my eyes, my mind kept racing keeping away from sleep. And all that could pound through my heart is David, David.
Then I remembered that few days ago, I was meditating about Kingdom Meritocracy, and the subject of the thought was the life of David.
Do you remember how he was sold out to the assignment commited to his hands by his Dad. He kept the sheep so safe, that not even bear or lion would scare him away. He wasn't afraid for his own life, his focus was the sheep. And he was ready yo sacrifice everything to ensuring he doesn't fail at what he was sent.
Now that is worship!
He honoured God by being a true ambassador of excellence and commitment. He could have backed down after the bear, with complaints of harzadous working conditions. But he didn't, he kept on, killed the Lion, yet he stayed his course with the sheep.
He didn't stay on because the job was glamorous, no he stayed because he saw it as a calling, or the path to his calling. He had to be devoted.
Another amazing fact is how that David started earlier. He didn't complain that he was
too young for responsibility. He didn't insist on his brothers having to do some sheep rearing to support him. He did as much as he could, building his own career profile.
Even kingdom promotion seeks experience and qualification. But like God told Samuel, he doesn't see these things the same we see it.
PS: I wrote this 3 months and 5 days ago, but just saw it hiding in my draft now, and decided to push it out immediately.
